"My Best App is My Grandmother" (Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim)
Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim is a Chadian Indigenous and women’s rights activist. She is the Coordinator of AFPAT, the Association of Peul Women and Autochthonous Peoples of Chad. She has also served as the co-director of the pavilion of World Indigenous Peoples’ at the United Nations COP events for several years. In this presentation she talks about how Indigenous peoples’ connectedness to nature is helping scientists improve their understandings of other life, ecosystems, and our climate.
