Nature Themes in Native American Jewelry (Megan Concha)
Megan Concha is a second generation Taos Pueblo silversmith who makes hand-stamped Native American jewelry.
Megan Concha told AllCreation:
My jewelry reflects my surroundings, I am a artist from Taos Pueblo, the mountain and the pueblo dwellings is the view I see out my front door and is inpiration everyday to create my art. I have designs represanting Taos Flowers and others that depic small creatures like butterflies and turtles, which are fairly new to the collection of Taos Arts desings. We have more traditional designs like the Snake Jaw and the Wagon Wheel and our take on the popular traditional Zia Sun that have been a part of The Taos Arts Collection for 30+ years. I feel very blessed to be able to carry on the legacy of Taos Arts that my father created right here at the beautiful Taos Pueblo. - Megan Concha
